This talk has been very well received each time I have given it. I do a deep dive into all Phragmipedium habitats and connect the ecology to culture in cultivation.

The Phragmipedium of Brazil; A Journey to a Strange World
This talk is an in depth look at the three (3) Brazilian species, their taxonomy, culture and the severe disconnect between these species and the commonly held misconceptions captions about the genus.

Expanding Your Orchid Collection – Yes You Can Know What You Are Gonna Get
This talk includes a range of topics all designed to help both new and experienced growers become better at understanding orchid names, the differences between species, varieties, hybrids and complex hybrids, where to find information on species and hybrids, what are clones versus seed grown orchids, what to look for in terms of awarded parents and what do awards mean along with personal tips I look for when shopping for new orchids.

A few Favorite South American Genera
The talk covers several favorite Genera including Brassia, Maxillaria, Phragmipedium and Pleurothallis. These are several genera that can be grown by most everyone. A look at several examples in each genus along with an overview and culture.
